I was having this issue with an exchange 2010 box, tried using lodctr /r as noted above but didn't help, so going along the lines of what Kurt was thinking...
I edited the remote monitor, Perf - Database Page Fault Stalls/sec, on the Exchange 2010 server group (Service Plans.Windows Servers.Server Roles.Windows Messaging Servers.Exchange 2010 Servers). I changed the value from equals 0 to less than 1. So the -9999 will not return a failure. I'm assuming this can only return a positive number if there are indeed page faults.
After updating config on the agent, back to all green!
